September’s Artist of the Month – Dara Dodson Opens Her New Special Exhibit – “Old Florida “Cracker” Heritage” on Fri Sept 4th 5-9pm at Art Collective’s First Friday Art Walk Celebration
This exhibit is a step back into 1800s Florida and discover the hardy people, horses, cattle, and daily life that shaped our state long before the American West. Through her historically accurate beautiful oil paintings, Dara brings this fascinating heritage to life. Explore the history behind the term “cracker” and experience a Florida story close to her heart – rooted in the rustic nature and old Florida history.

“Emerging Visions: The Next Generation of Artist” featuring the innovative work of rising talents from Flagler College. This ongoing, rotating exhibition launched in March 2025, providing a platform for local art students to share their unique artistic voices with the broader community while showcasing their work alongside local, established artists. Art Students’ Exhibits will change bi-monthly.

A Unique & Versitile Art Skill Learning Opportunity! ❤️🎨 Discover the magic of transforming delicate silk fibers into luminous, textured fabrics in this hands-on introductory workshop. Through learning these three unique silk fusion techniques, you’ll explore the creative possibilities of layering fibers to create luminous, one-of-a-kind textile papers and fabrics. Designed for mixed-media artists, quilters, fiber artists, and curious beginners alike, this workshop emphasizes exploration, experimentation, and the joy of discovery.
Participants will leave with several silk fusion studies, a completed silk fusion panel, written instructions, a resource list, and the inspiration and confidence to continue exploring this versatile textile art at home.
