ARTIST’S BIO
Ray Brilli was born in Queens, N.Y. Ray attended the HS of Art & Design, Hunter College & the School Of Visual Art where he studied fine art, color theory, graphic design, earning a BFA degree. He then worked for many years as a graphic artist for various ad agencies in N.Y. It was the structured, tight regimen of commercial art during the day which led Ray to develop a bright, spontaneous and impressionistic style to his painting. Ray has returned many times to his parent’s birthplace, Venice, Italy for inspiration in his art. His artwork is displayed worldwide in Norway, Italy, Japan, and India to name a few and has won numerous awards in Florida and New York.
