Christy Lawson is a St. Augustine native whose photography is rooted in a lifelong connection to the city she calls home. Her work captures its historic streets and landmarks, but also the changing light, reflections, weather and small details that can transform even a familiar view.
Christy is drawn to the moments that make St. Augustine feel distinctly like St. Augustine, balancing recognizable places with unexpected details and a perspective shaped by both familiarity and curiosity.
Through her photography, Christy captures not only what St. Augustine looks like, but something of what it feels like to experience it. Her work reflects a city that is historic and iconic, but also constantly changing with the light, the weather and the life unfolding within it.
