ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Mother Earth’s unique designs of semi-precious stones request a setting to adorn its beauty. Either Argentium Sterling Silver or 14K gold-filled square wires answer by being meticulously aligned and intricately held together by half-round wire. Styles vary as satin smooth wires provide a more conservative look and twisted wires a more Victorian look. To add more precision, I twist paired wires in the opposite directions creating a chevron pattern. Those wire ends become my artist’s palate for creating whatever spirit directs. The results complement the beauty of the stone along with delighting and enhancing the beauty of the wearer.
Lynda has been commended for the quality and beauty of her work both on-line and by master jewelers. The Ocala Magazine and several Marion and Citrus County, Florida newspapers have published articles about Lynda and her jewelry. Her mentor is Dale “Cougar” Armstrong, internationally known artist, writer, trainer and Jewelry TV star.
Besides creating elegant necklace-earring sets, bracelets, rings and earrings, she has taught basic wire sculpture classes. Lynda was in five galleries from Gainesville to Floral City and has served as president of two coop galleries before moving to the St. Augustine area..
