Linda Sperruzzi – St Augustine Artist

ARTIST’S BIO

Linda Sperruzzi is a fine artist based in St Augustine, FL. She was originally from Wading River, NY where she owned an art studio and gallery called The Painted Canvas for 10 years. Her mom was a fashion illustrator and water colorist who had Linda painting and drawing from a very young age. Linda’s  heart was always in art and she continued practicing and learning many mediums eventually majoring in  illustration at Rhode Island school of Design. 

  She has worked as a professional artist for over 30 years specializing in murals and portraiture while raising four children with her husband Rick.

  After moving to St Augustine she decided to focus solely on landscape impressionism. Her style involves loose strokes of color over interesting abstract or geometric backgrounds. 

 “I love to embrace the coastal colors in my work and throw in fun, bright colors to complement the soft. I often include people and architecture  in my compositions with a loose, modern  approach, capturing all that’s needed to evoke the feeling of the moment.”

  Faith is a huge part of Linda’s work and all pieces are based or inspired by Biblical scripture. She gives all the credit to God for her career and abilities.
